Aly Raisman

The Most Decorated 2012 US Gymnast

Aly Raisman was the most decorated 2012 US gymnast at the Olympic Games. As captain, she won 2 gold and a bronze medal, and was the first U.S. gymnast to win gold in the floor exercise. She is an eight-time National Championship Medalist, received a gold medal at the 2012 Secret U.S. Classic and at the 2012 AT&T American Cup for vault and floor. She was also awarded the International Coaches Award for her leadership and teamwork.

Aly started gymnastics at 18 months old with her mother, a former high school gymnast, in a local Mommy & Me class. She watched a video of the 1996 Women’s Gymnastics Team win gold every day as a child and since then, she has been working toward her own Olympic Dream. Aly finished her senior year of high school online and graduated on time with her class at Needham High School while training for the 2012 London Olympics.

Aly has a passion for helping others and volunteers with the Special Olympics when time permits. She enjoys baking chocolate chip cookies with her 3 younger siblings and playing with her 2 Malteses, Coco, & Magic.
