Thank you, Helena Middle School!

Attorney General Steve Bullock joined the Ask, Listen, Learn team today at Helena Middle School. We had an audience of over 200 6th graders, and they were fantastic! We were very impressed with their commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

They all had a great time playing the Ask, Listen, Learn game, and through it, learned a lot about alcohol's effects on the body.

A big thank you to Attorney General Steve Bullock - his commitment to the students of Montana made this possible.

And a big thank you to the kids of Helena Middle School too! They were enormously enthusiastic - and we have the evidence to prove it, below.

Nick celebrates largest ever worldwide day of play

Nickelodeon held the largest ever Worldwide Day of Play event at the Ellipse in Washington, DC yesterday. Fifty partner organizations, "Let's Move" and the President's Council on Fitness joined with Nickelodeon stars and famous athletes like Superstar Abby Wambach to host its largest event ever. Nick held an entire day of physical activities and games for kids and their families to encourage active and healthy lifestyles. For the eight year in Nick actually shut down its TV programming and Web sites from noon to 3 p.m.

WWDOP began in 2004 as a part of Nickelodeon's The Big Help initiative, a kid-led movement for positive change focusing on four key issues: the environment, education, health and wellness, and community service.

We hope you and your kids got out and played this weekend and will continue to stay fit with the start of Autumn!

Superstars and Celebrities

Our very own Girl Talk Superstar Emily Huff found herself face-to- face with a famous actor last Saturday night at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame awards show.

While some people might have freaked out and asked for an autographed picture for everyone they know, Emily just wanted to share one thing with Samuel L. Jackson. She gave him a baby blue bracelet with T.H.I.N.K. embossed on the side.

The Sutton Middle School 8th grader is trying to prevent bullying in school and said the letters are meant to remind you to think before you speak. “Make sure what you say is truthful, helpful, important, necessary and kind.” Emily explained.
