Apolo Ohno book tour comes West!

We're happy to announce that we'll be partnering up with Apolo Anton Ohno's west coast book tour next week!

Working with Apolo Ohno helps us reach audiences we might not otherwise get the chance to talk to. We think his passion for wellness and his inspirational story is a great way to reach out to kids who might need to hear his story.

However, it seemed unfair that only the East Coast got to hear it.

So this week we'll be hitting the west coast with Apolo Ohno!

Zero Regrets Tour comes to Washington DC

This book tour with Apolo Ohno has been an exciting chance for people to understand a little bit better why Apolo Ohno is working with us. He believes as we do that middle school is an important time for kids, a time when they start to find the path that will take them to adulthood.

Apolo found that path, and it took him to eight Olympic medals. And we're always happy when he can tell kids how perilous and important that path was.

We met up with Apolo yesterday in Washington DC, at a stop for his book tour in Dupont Circle. As he arrived, there was already a large line of people eager for a chance to meet him. He answered a few questions about his career, signed dozens of books, and took photos with his fans.

After Dupont, Apolo headed down to Richmond for another signing where he met countless fans and had another successful signing. Apolo now heads to North Carolina today. We'll be with him in Atlanta, GA on Thursday, and from there, a possible West Coast book tour. Stay tuned!

Wrap-up: Apolo In Pittsburgh and Providence

Sunday night, Apolo Ohno and The Century Council were at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Pittsburgh PA. Apolo was promoting his book, Zero Regrets, and also spoke to a group of kids about making healthy choices in life and saying no to underage drinking.

Apolo Ohno shared his message with 12 kids from The Beverly Jewel Wall Lovelace Children's Program, which promotes children's safety and well-being within their community. The kids were full of question for Apolo, ranging from his upbringing as a young kid to becoming an Olympic medalist. Apolo answered them all and left the kids with autographed books and Ask, Listen, Learn bookmarks!

The kids have an extra incentive to read through the book; They're having an essay contest based on the book, and the winner will receive a prize! Good luck kids of BJWL!

Apolo Ohno stopping in Atlanta!

We're joining Apolo Ohno's Zero Regrets tour for one last stop in Atlanta, GA! The event is taking place noon, Nov. 11th, at the Banres & Noble in the Peach Shoppping Centre (map.)

We just wrapped our event with Apolo in Providence, RI. We were glad to be able to meet so many people! Check out our full tour with Apolo Ohno, and check out his other tour stops.

Washington DC, Tyson's Corner, and Richmond!

Next week the Zero Regrets  Apolo Ohno book tour will be proceeding at full speed in the Mid-Atlantic! Monday night, Apolo will be with Ask, Listen, Learn  in Tyson's Corner to promote his book and spread his message.

The next day, we'll be in Washington DC at noon. If you plan on coming via car, come early! Parking around Dupont Circle can be dicey.

That night we'll be in Richmond, on the Virginia Commonwealth University campus. Apolo is scheduled to arrive at 5 p.m.

I don't know if you saw Apolo in Dancing With The Stars last night, but we're hopeful that Apolo might bust a move....Please come encourage him!

Pittsburgh, PA, November 7th!

We're heading to Pittsburgh this Sunday!

We'll be at  Joseph-Beth Booksellers in downtown Pittsburgh (map) at 7PM on November 7th. We're expecting a big crowd, so come early! Apolo will be there to sign copies of his new book Zero Regrets and we'll be handing out free goodies and taking pictures!
